Check Up & Examination
Regular dental examinations are extremely important if you want to maintain a healthy smile. At your examination we will do a full assessment of all your teeth and gums. X-Rays will be taken where appropriate and will allow us to see dental problems or disease that may not be visible to the naked eye
Amalgam fillings (also known as silver fillings) are usually used on back teeth and are very strong, dependable and offer a long lasting restoration solution. Composite fillings (also known as white fillings) can be obtained in a range of shades so that a match can be made to make your restoration as natural as possible.
The extraction process can range from a straightforward extraction of one tooth, to a surgical extraction where teeth are impacted or have complex root structures. After any type of extraction you will receive extensive aftercare instructions.
Dental sealants are made of tooth coloured plastic resin and are placed on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. Sealants are mostly carried out on children and will protect their teeth against decay.
Root Canal Treatment
A root canal is carried out when a patient is experiencing pain in the tooth or increased sensitivity to hot and cold substances. A root canal may take two visits. The first visit is to extract the nerve of the tooth. This will take away the pain, although the tooth may be tender for a couple of days following the treatment. The second visit is used to finish the root canal and fill the tooth. A root filled tooth is more brittle so it is advisable to have this tooth restored with a crown to protect it.
A Crown is a single artificial tooth that fits over your prepared natural tooth. Crowns are used to strengthen weak or heavily filled natural teeth. They are also a perfect way to transform discoloured and unsightly teeth.
A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth and requires the adjacent teeth to support it.
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth to improve the colour and shape of your teeth.
Dentures – Teeth in a Day (All on 4)
A denture is a removable prosthesis used to replace missing teeth (commonly known as false teeth). A denture is usually made of acrylic or a combination of both acrylic and metal. A partial denture is fitted to replace 1 or more missing teeth and a full denture is used when all natural teeth are missing.
Dental Implants are the most permanent way of replacing one or more missing teeth. The loss of natural teeth may often affect your ability to eat or chew your food properly. The loss of teeth can also affect your smile and thus your confidence. Dental Implants can not only restore your chewing ability but also restore a bright more confident you.
Implant Supported Dentures
Implants can now be used to stabilise your dentures, giving you a tight, secure and non slip denture. So no more pain and no more messy adhesives. This is a minimally invasive procedure and will enhance both your health and appearance.
6 Month Braces
These braces usually involve treating the front teeth only. Using clear braces, our goal is to straighten teeth and in just 6 months give you the smile you always wanted.
Individual moulds are taken of your teeth and custom made trays are created. You then place the whitening gel in the trays and wear these overnight for approximately 12 – 14 nights. It’s a very easy and straightforward procedure to undertake in the comfort of your own home.
